Featured at Southern Scraps

Today I am being featured over at Southern Scraps. Fonda offered to feature my shop and blog for no charge so I am returning the favor. I like what I found over there!

First, I LOVE this cuff! It's amazing! You can see her tutorial right over here. It's an Ann Taylor Loft knock-off. I have an old cuff that needs some reworking. I am inspired!

I also love this really pretty shirt refashion. It's her version of a tutorial from Ruffles and Stuff and I think it turned out amazing!

Southern Scraps is also an Etsy shop full of beautiful handmade goodness. I particularly like this pink and brown birthday card.

My favorite card is this stamped butterfly card. It's just my colors and I really have a thing for butterflies.

What are you still doing here? Why haven't you left to go check out Southern Scraps yet???

Thanks so much Fonda!

And the winner, as chosen by random.org, is...... comment #7- Laura Woodbury! Woot woot! Congratulations! : ) Email me your address and I will send you the belt!

Thanks so much to everyone who participated. It was really fun to get to know you and check out your blogs. Here are a few of the fun things I found:

Camille at Sugar Baby Boutique made this gorgeous version of the book page wreath. This is one project that has been on my to do list for a long time!

I love fruit, I love trifle, and I love red, white, blue. This dessert is on my to do list. It is from AJCrazies.

I met Melissa at That Girl who made this darling bird charm. I love birds. I must make this. She also has some other great jewelry tutorials including a cool Anthro necklace knock-off.

These amazing shoes were made by Suburbs Mama. They are Mod Podged with glitter. She also made a better than the original Shabby Apple dress, and has several great tutorials on belts. We all know how much I love a good belt!

Birthday Party Inspiration

While browsing the web last weekend I found some amazing birthday party ideas that I just had to share.

#1 Tron: Legacy birthday party found at Living Locurto. I LOVE Tron, I mean REALLY LOVE Tron, so I LOVED this party!

Look at the cool cupcake toppers and labels. They are available through links on the site.

How creative are these cupcake stands? I love the glow sticks under the glasses. What a great idea! This party is so cool, it isn't even fair.

#2 Pop Art Super Hero party from Hostess Blog. My student council is planning a super hero activity for our school. We will definitely be using this party as inspiration.

I love these cake balls! Be sure to check out the original post to see all the gorgeous photos and other food ideas.

Check out that cake! WOW!!!!! I want to be a party planner when I grow up.

#3 Toy Story from Oopsey Daisey. This is soooo cute!

I love this subway art. It will be a fun keepsake. Even the wrapping paper matches!

A great party is in the details, isn't it? I love the army men hanging from the ceiling.

Can I throw Spencer a party like this? His birthday is coming up in May. Every man needs a kid-themed party for his 27th birthday, right? Or is it okay to throw myself a birthday party with a great theme? That gives me until July to prepare....

If you were featured, you can grab a button here.

If you are featured here, feel free to grab a "featured" button for your blog!

Becki made these flip-flops based on a pair that I made this past summer. I love the size of the flowers.

Vintage Pollyanna made this darling necklace from my Retro Button Necklace Tutorial.

Mummy Crafts
used the Fireworks Bracelet tutorial to make this pretty aqua bracelet.

If you have made something from one of my tutorials please let me know and I would love to feature you.

Have a great weekend!

Orozko {New Etsy Shop}

I would like to introduce you to one of the newest Etsy accessory shops run by my good friend Amber... Orozko.

As you can see above, she is selling really cute Halloween accessories. These darling pins are called "Halloween Heroes." This is such a great thing for Mom to wear while taking the kids trick-or treating.

Orozko is also selling many other cute Halloween headbands, like the Black Rose Halloween headband pictured below. But hurry and order, Halloween is almost here!

Military is such a big trend this fall. This Emerald Tapestry headband is a great way to add that trend to your wardrobe in an affordable way. Orozko sells quite a few animal print headbands too, which is also a big trend this fall.

Orozko sells flower clips in very unique fabrics such as this Autumn Passion clip.

The last thing I would like to show you is the unique Brazilian Pride headband. This would be the perfect Christmas gift for someone who is from or has lived in Brazil.

Go show some love for this new Etsy shop. Check out Orozko now!

Three Bags for Spring

Recently on Etsy I have been seeing a lot of handbags that I would love to have for spring. Actually, I'd like to just have spring! But for now I can just look at pretty items and pretend it's warm outside. Here are three of my favorite bags:

Orange is one of my favorite colors. Love this bag!

I love the print on this Giant Floral Large Pleated bag by Blue Planet Creations. I would love to have this for my summer vacation.

It looks this one already sold out but I wanted to share it anyway. Isn't so cute? A burlap ruffle tote. Go check out the shop and see the rest of the items!
